During the week we live in an apartment in New York City, a location that provides endless exposure to various cultures, cuisines, opportunities, and people. It’s been wonderful living in a city that has so much to offer and allows Kurt to walk to work. Our building has the kindest people and several families with kids. We have access to beautiful amenity spaces, including a children’s playroom and full-size basketball court as well as outdoor living that offers grills, grass, holiday socials, and weekly yoga classes.
Although city living is fun and gives us much to do, we also love being in nature! We recently purchased a home upstate that sits on nearly 12 acres of beautiful land. It’s less than 2 hours from our apartment so we get up there most weekends and holidays. Our home is close to hiking trails, horseback riding, and the cutest little town with so many familiar faces. We love that our child will have the best of both worlds – they will have music, art, culture, languages, etc. at their fingertips in NYC, and nature, horses, sledding, hiking, and swimming Upstate. We know several families in the area so there will be plenty of walks, picnics, and outings with family and friends. We love that our child will have a wide range and diverse set of friends whether they’re in the City or Upstate.
